Parade in my city
Turns out one of my SLA students has a blog about Japan. Check it out. This post is about a small local matsuri parade where they carry around a super heavy mini-shrine around the city to bless it, or have whatever effect the god within it is meant to do. Nice post, Jessica!

So today is Sunday, and tomorrow is a national holiday in Japan (although I still have class anyways) so there is parades going on last night and today.
This morning I woke up to the sound of drums, flutes, and people chanting. I decided to go outside and check out what was happening, since I wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep anyways.
